• GlossGenius — appointment booking, client records, and payment processing
• Squarespace — website hosting, e-commerce, and analytics
• Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — advertising platform and lead form delivery
• Google — analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google Ads)
• Email / SMS marketing platforms — used to deliver communications to opted-in clients

Each of these providers is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We encourage you to review the policies of any platform you interact with directly.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of The UnSpa, our clients, or others.

Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Advertising

We use the Meta Pixel — a small piece of code installed on our website — to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and to deliver ads to people who have visited our site or taken actions on it.

The Meta Pixel may collect the following information when you visit urbanunspa.com:

• Pages you visit and actions you take (such as form submissions or product views)
• Your IP address, browser type, and device information
• A hashed version of your email address or phone number if you have an account with Meta and are logged in

We may also run Lead Ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram in which you can submit your contact information directly within the Meta platform. Information submitted through Meta Lead Ads is governed by both this Privacy Policy and Meta's own Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

• Client records (appointment history, skin notes) are retained for the duration of your relationship with The UnSpa and for a reasonable period afterward to support continuity of care
• Marketing opt-in records are retained for as long as you remain subscribed, and for a period afterward as required by applicable law and to document your consent
• Purchase records are retained as required for accounting, tax, and legal compliance purposes
• Website analytics data is subject to the retention policies of our analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics)

When you request deletion of your data (see Section 9), we will honor that request to the extent not required for legal, accounting, or safety purposes.

Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Our website is hosted on Squarespace, which maintains industry-standard security practices including SSL/TLS encryption. Appointment and payment data is processed through GlossGenius, which operates under its own security and compliance standards.

Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. We honor the following requests from all clients, regardless of location:

• Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or outdated information
• Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain records

California Residents (CCPA)

Minors

Our website and marketing communications are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Clients between the ages of 13 and 17 may receive services at The UnSpa with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Appointment information for minor clients is handled with the same care and confidentiality as adult client records.
